Research Interests
Labour-market relations with a focus on the local level industrial relations. Apart from a general interest in Industrial Relations and Employment Relations theory, focus of the research is on conditions for cooperation between management and employee representatives – and how the communication is manifesting itself in a relatively decentralised bargaining system. New forms of work organisation like Human Resource Management are central in the analysis. Both the private and public sector is of interest.
Present Research and Projects
Under the umbrella research programme Internationalisation, Multi-level Regulation and the Danish Model (2004-2008), the pivotal point is the response of local enterprises to national and global challenges and how this influence co-operation and union affiliation. Especially possibilities and problems connected to the collective bargaining system in still more internationally operating companies will be a future research area.
